Beach Media x CSULB Dorms: A New Chapter in Campus Connection

At Beach Media, building connections within the campus community is central to our mission. That's why we're thrilled to announce a new partnership with Housing and Residential Life at CSULB. This collaboration is designed to enrich dorm life, boost student engagement and raise the profile of both Beach Media and the residential community.

As a student-run media organization, Beach Media encompasses multiple entities, including ENYE, Long Beach Current (formerly the Daily 49er) and DIG. Through this partnership, we aim to work closely with CSULB’s residents to foster a more vibrant campus culture. Together, we will host engaging events, promote creative expression and share compelling content that captures the spirit of campus life.

The partnership's first collaborative event, a Craft Night, took place Oct. 3 at Los Cerritos Hall. This inaugural event brought students together for an evening of creativity, connection and community-building. Activities included bracelet making, journal and bookmark decorating and creating vision boards. While all necessary materials were provided, attendees were encouraged to bring personal supplies to add unique touches to their creations.

The Craft Night demonstrated our commitment to being an active community partner dedicated to enriching the student experience. The event emphasized the importance of student engagement through hands-on activities and shared experiences, setting the tone for future collaborative efforts.

This partnership with CSULB Housing and Residential Life represents an important step toward creating a more connected campus , where students not only stay informed but also actively shape the stories that define their university life. We look forward to hosting more events that bring the community together and celebrate the unique culture that makes Cal State Long Beach exceptional.
